The Journey of Abendino tells the story of the exodus of a Sephardic Jew from his native Granada to Constantinople, following the expulsion ordered by the Catholic Monarchs in 1492. Throughout his journey across the Mediterranean, Abendino encounters a rich tapestry of cultural, religious, and musical realities — often marked by danger — until he finally settles in Constantinople.
